The idea I have is to illustrate the wonderful story by Hans Christian Andersen – The flea and the professor.
For the time I managed just to create the hero character, the professor. I like the direction this is going… still a lot of work ahead to complete the story.
The sculpture is made from polymer clay (head), armature from metal wire and clothing from fabric scraps. This is the first time I made an armature, it’s not the most stable armature one can find, but good enough for book illustrations.
I’m thinking to publish a full tutorial on the professor… stay tuned.
