The 3D Passover Hagada was a commissioned project. The illustration work was done by sculpting scenes that were then photographed using special equipment and method to create a 3D image. The illustrations were done in two major themes. The first, using clay to depict scenes from the ancient story of the Hebrew liberation from Egypt. The second, using polymer clay to show scenes from a modern Jewish family during Passover dinner.
I spent a long time with this family and feel very close to them (normal love hate relationship). It was a very intensive work, but I enjoyed every moment of it.
Obviously it was a great joy to enter into the book stores and seeing stacks of books with my illustrations in them. The books reached the stores in the last moments before the holidays, but still managed to get very kind reviews in the press.
